AXA Life Japan Will Continue to Provide Support to the Affected Areas

Five years have passed since the earthquake, but AXA Life Japan will continue to provide support to the affected areas, not forgetting the memory of the disaster and continue to focus on creating the future of local communities, using lessons learned from the earthquake.

Since 2011, the company AXA Life Japan carries out initiatives to support the reconstruction of the earthquake, based on the theme “Let’s create the future.” AXA Life Japan has provided 135 million yen so far in the current campaign, “€2 for €1 campaign donation contract to support the recovery”. This campaign currently supports

“Disaster risk reduction education program AXA UNESCO Association”

This program is developed jointly and respond to the views of the affected areas, “The knowledge of disaster risk reduction will save precious lives.” AXA Life Japan supports activities to transfer the lessons learned from the Great East Japan earthquake for the next generation of children.

This program subsidizes educational programs for primary natural disaster reduction, junior and senior high schools across the country, hoping to prepare for natural disasters. It provides not only financial support, but also training in the workplace in the affected areas with opportunities for teachers to enable them to experience the devastated areas and disaster risk reduction, the know-how in their respective classes.
